M33: Natalie McKean | Comic Book Creator Interview

I had the pleasure of interviewing an absolutely wonderful comic book creator, Natalie McKean. She is the writer and artist of M33: Galaxy of Hybrids. This story was fun, sweet, romantic and an excellent addition to the science fiction genre.

M33: Galaxy of Hybrids

The comic was launched on kickstarter, and after a very successful campaign, her story was released. Enthralled by the art, I ordered some of the extras, as comic book art is one of my favorite things to collect.

Natalie and I talked a lot about her process and art style as very few people have the talent and ability to captivate their audience with a single image. When I saw her book on kickstarter, I knew I had to have it. The art style was immediately comforting and intriguing.

The story of M33: Galaxy of Hybrids is about the journey of finding your soul family or chosen family. It is about community and finding ways to coexist, even amongst mass differences. This LGBTQ science fiction epic will eventually take place within three galaxies, our own Milky Way (Yínhé), Andromeda, and Triangulum (M33). They contain a multitude of alien life forms, some you may have heard of and some you might just be discovering.  M33 is shrouded in mystery as different storylines slowly unfold and weave together. It is meant to make you wonder and guess and also to have a good time.

Natalie is a wonderful and talented creator with whom I enjoyed talking to immensely. She is very passionate about her work, and I truly can not wait to see what else she does. This story makes me excited for its future. M33 is a safe place for women, the LGBTQ+ community, and anyone else that loves science fiction and romance.
