Prime Video’s sci-fi comedy Upload concludes with a high-stakes, four-part finale. Executive Producer and Writer Maxwell Vivian, along with the cast and creator Greg Daniels, were at San Diego Comic-Con last month in celebration.
Maxwell Vivian talks Upload Season 4 at San Diego Comic-Con
Emmy-winning creator Greg Daniels brings the hit series to a close with an epic evil AI, putting not just the resort but the real world at risk. Maxwell Vivian spoke to journalists about the thought process that went into creating the story arc around AI.
By the time AI came out, there was already groundwork laid in the show for how the AI works in the show. So we were never gonna turn around and make it exactly like one of these big models out there. But we were able to scoop up the uses and themes, and the questions that those things raise and speak to those. Rather than doing a one-to-one ChatGPT or whatever. – Maxwell Vivian
Final Season of Upload is Streaming Now
Beyond the virtual dangers, the series also tackles corporate greed and complex personal relationships. Nathan (Robbie Amell) and Nora (Andy Allo) will be tested like never before, dealing with both virtual and real-life heartbreak. To save humanity from deletion, the characters must put aside their differences and team up one last time.

The final four episodes, released on August 25, conclude an arc that began with Nathan’s mysterious death and upload to Lakeview, where he formed a connection with his living “angel,” Nora. With the sentient AI’s rise to power, the finale is packed with unforgettable moments, including a heroic sacrifice by Lakeview resident Luke (Kevin Bigley)
The series also stars Allegra Edwards as Ingrid, Zainab Johnson as Aleesha, and Owen Daniels as A.I. Guy. Daniels serves as executive producer alongside Howard Klein and Maxwell Vivian.
The four-part finale event for Upload is available to stream now on Prime Video.
