Magic: The Gathering Edge of Eternities Showcase Cards.

MTG: Edge of Eternities Showcase Cards Gallery

Magic: The Gathering‘s latest set Edge of Eternities is the next in-universe, and the last one for 2025. In recent years, Magic sets are released with various Collector Booster box products featuring alternate and rare versions of some cards. Edge of Eternities is no different. The set hasa wide variety of beautiful treatments via borderless versions, Japanese showcase cards, and so much more. We’ve compiled some of these into a gallery for you to ogle over before the set release in full August 1.

Borderless Main Set

These are cards present in the main set that features the same art, although with an extended borderless style.

Borderless Stellar Sights

These are gorgeous reprints of existing cards with sci-fi art. What’s interesting here is the title of the card is where the card’s types and subtypes are typically placed, with this text now brought down to the card’s ability text box. It’s unorthodox, but a great way to showcase this incredible art.

Borderless Stellar Sights Poster Art

These capture the retro-futurism art style from a bygone era that’s rife with nostalgia. These are available as a bonus sheet, coming in rare and mythic rare only (35 rares and 10 mythics are getting this treatment). One in every eight play booster packs has a nonfoil version, with foil versions appearing less often. Every collector booster pack will have one of these at least nonfoil.

Borderless Special Guests

Special Guests are reprints of existing Magic cards not present in the main Edge of Eternities set. They aim to also capture that retro-futurism vibe, this time inspired by sci-fi novels of the 60’s and 70’s. These will also be made available digitally on Magic: The Gathering Arena.

Borderless Surreal Space

These cards are present in the main set but feature awesome alternate art treatments from different guest artists like Jack Hughes and Cacho Rubione.

Japan Showcase Cards

Guest artists are the name of the game with Edge of Eternities. The Japan Showcase cards feature cards from the main set, with unique and impressive art from some of the best Japanese artists.

Viewport Lands

Viewport lands are another borderless treatment for land cards similar to the Stellar Sights cards, but depicted as if you’re looking out the window or a commercial spacecraft.

Magic: The Gathering’s newest set Edge of Eternities will debut previews starting July 8. The full card gallery will go live July 18. Prerelease events at your local game store will run from July 25-31. The set will launch worldwide August 1.
