NEW COMIC FROM BOOM! STUDIOS TELLS THE STORY OF JUDAS

Temple of Geek got a sneak peak at a new comic from BOOM! Studios. Judas will be a four part story about Judas, the apostle who betrays Jesus. It comes to us from Emmy and WGA Award nominated writer Jeff Loveness (Marvel’s Nova) and artist Jakub Rebelka (Namesake).

The first issue will take readers through the story of Judas and his role in the crucifixion of Jesus, his death and his journey through Hell. It is a sad and lonely story, beautifully narrated by Judas. His thoughts and his reflections are heart wrenching and relatable. The art is beautiful and tragic. Properly reflecting the cold tones and loneliness that Judas is feeling. It also gives you a terrifying glimpse at what Judas’s Hell looks like. The art also takes you seamlessly between Judas’s past reflections and his current situation in Hell.

It is wonderfully told and wonderfully illustrated. If you are a fan of Supernatural or Preacher this is definitely a comic for you. The first issue will be in stores and available on December 13th, 2017.
