Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced the return of its State of Play event on September 24th, 2024. It will feature updates and announcements for over 20 upcoming PS5 and PS VR2 games. According to Sid Shuman, Senior Director of Sony Interactive Entertainment Content Communications, this 30+ minute event will showcase titles from various studios around the globe.
When and Where to Watch
The State of Play event will be streamed live on YouTube and Twitch, making it accessible to PlayStation fans worldwide. The 30+ minute broadcast will begin at 3 PM PT / 6 PM ET on September 24. For international audiences, the stream will air on September 25 at 12 AM CEST and 7 AM JST. The show will be available in both English and Japanese, catering to PlayStation’s diverse global audience.
What to Expect
While PlayStation has not officially announced the titles to be featured, previous State of Play have provided updates on highly anticipated games. Some of these games include Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, and several PlayStation VR2 exclusives. The recently announced PlayStation 5 Pro has could be a hot item as well for the State of Play. Highly criticized for it’s pricing, we may see further details shared by first-party and/or third-party developers.
