Reed Shannon, Voice of Ekko, Talks Season 2 of Arcane
The world premiere of the final season of Arcane took place in Los Angeles on October 30th, 2024, with the cast and crew in attendance.
Shannon’s character, Ekko, starts as a good kid in season one but quickly becomes a badass. Shannon is excited for season two and thinks fans will be pleasantly surprised and scared, warning that no one is safe. He believes Ekko is a leader in season two but is caught between a rock and a hard place. Shannon believes that vulnerability is essential for community and leadership.
I think echo is, like, in between a rock and a hard place at the beginning of season two, just because he wants to present this front. He thinks that being a leader is is being strong all the time.
And so to be able to tap into his vulnerabilities, I think it’s something that’s very important in terms of of community and leading.

The Egyptian Theatre in Los Angeles exploded into a Piltover-inspired spectacle for the premiere of Arcane’s final season. Stars like Hailee Steinfeld (Vi) and Ella Purnell (Jinx) lit up the “Piltover Bridge” carpet alongside creators Christian Linke and Alex Yee, and Riot Games co-founders Brandon Beck and Marc Merrill.
But the premiere was more than just a celebrity showcase. Sheryl Lee Ralph, who lent her powerful vocals to the soundtrack with “Blood Sweat & Tears,” brought her incredible energy to the event. The celebration also featured musical artists from the show like Alex Seaver (Mako), Royal and the Serpent, and d4vd, adding another layer of excitement to the night.
