• River Song was born Melody Pond to Amy and Rory Williams.
• She was kidnapped by the Silence and raised as a weapon to kill the Doctor.
• She escaped and became an archaeologist.
• She was again recruited by the Silence to kill the Doctor, but the assassination was staged.
• She was sentenced to 12,000 life sentences for killing The Doctor, but since it was staged she actually spent her nights traveling with the Doctor.
• She died in the Library, but her data ghost lives on.
• The Doctor and River met each other in reverse order.
• She was a brilliant and resourceful archaeologist.
• She was also a skilled fighter and a crack-shot.
• She was fiercely loyal to the Doctor and would do anything to protect him.
• She was a complex and enigmatic character who was both loved and feared.
