About NijiFest
NijiFest is a queer media and community-focused anime convention in Southern California. The convention describes itself as the following:
NijiFest was born from a group of friends yapping on the internet about their boy’s love (BL) pairings across anime. These conversations erupted into a desire to gather with other fans of queer media, including fan fiction, in person. The result: NijiFest.
Its first event happened in May 2025. NijiFest’s one-day convention was well received, and the community asked for more time together, along with bigger gatherings. NijiFest 2026 will be bigger, better, and gayer.
