“Star Trek: Discovery” and other Paramount+ shows on Pluto TV for free

On March 2nd Paramount+ will allow Pluto TV users to explore a sampling of shows from Paramount+, including Star Trek: Discovery.

On March 2nd Paramount+ Picks channel, which will allow Pluto TV users to explore a sampling of shows from Paramount+, including Star Trek: Discovery, The Stand, NCIS, The Good Fight, Big Brother, Hawaii Five-0.

A new channel dedicated to Nashville will stream all of the drama and tunes from the hit show 24/7 starting tomorrow, so come sit a spell at the Bluebird Cafe and take it all in. Joining the Nashville channel is the Paramount+ Picks channel, which will allow Pluto TV users to explore a sampling of shows from Paramount+.

CBS All Access will rebrand itself as Paramount+ on March 4. This new platform will combine all the programming from CBS All Access with more television properties and films. The streaming service is attempting to compete with some of the larger streaming services like HBO Max, Netflix and Disney+.  It will connect subscribers with tens of thousands of episodes from hundreds of shows, live TV, hit movies, exclusive originals & so much more. Subscribers will have access to CBS, BET, Comedy Central, Nickelodeon, MTV, Smithsonian and more. The base service with ads will start at $4.99 and the premium services without ads will start at $9.99.

It’s notable that these streaming services Paramount+ will be carrying the Star Trek franchise. Most major streaming services have been vying for some of that geek content. Disney has Marvel and Star Wars. Netflix The Umbrella Academy and Stranger Things, Amazon Prime has The Expanse and The Boys. It seems that having geeky content pulls in big numbers for these streaming services.
