Returning to direct the quirky and hilarious heist film is Peyton Reed. This addition in the MCU brings a more lighthearted tone while still remaining serious. Especially since a lot of us are still reeling from the events of Infinity War. Also returning are pretty much most of the supporting cast from the first Ant-Man film which wraps up this tight film quite nicely. New additions to the crew are Lawrence Fishburne as Bill Foster, a former colleague of Hank Pym and Michael Cerveris as Elihas Starr, another former lab mate of Hank Pym. Comic fans may recognize those names belonging to the characters, Black Goliath and Egghead, respectively. Also, making their MCU debut is Ghost, played by Hannah John-Kamen, who Game of Thrones fans may remember from season 6 of Game of Thrones.
Watching the interactions between the various characters in this movie will remind you a lot of how you interact with your friends. Pretty much this movie is about friendships and how they can evolve and change completely over time. It’s also about family and the things you do for the good of your family. Again, Ant-Man and the Wasp is both hilarious and heart warming at points. It also furthers the story that is being told throughout the entire MCU. You’re definitely going to want to stay during and after the credits in this one. Take the kids to check it out because it has family fun written all over it. Get your tickets to see Ant-Man and the Wasp right now as it’s a pretty good movie for the summer.
