The Climate Change Superhero We Need!

We spoke to Jessica Jane Robinson about the comic book she created called Resilience Birthright. Jessica talked to us about her long career helping to fight climate change! Robinson has been an Al Gore Climate Leader, since August 2012 and is now ranked in the top 1% out of 10,812 Climate Leaders around the world.

“Resilience: Birthright” is a story different from other comic superheroes because it is created to help its fans become leaders in the movement to solve climate change, the trashing of the planet, and depletion of the world natural resources. The Resilience Birthright Saga is a story about a super being, Resilience (from the Planet of Terravitae), growing up on Earth and raised as an earthling, whose birth mission/destiny is to stop Apophis her nemesis from destroying the planet. The Saga reveals Resilience’s internal challenges she faces as she breaks through her mental blocks and insecurities to become the hero she is destined to be. Resilience faces external obstacles once she accepts her calling to help save Planet Earth as she is met with the dangerous opposing force of Apophis. The characters Resilience meets along the way also have stories, personal truths, that shed light on how individual choices and daily actions contribute to the planet for better and for worse. Through the characters’ awakening, major transformation and shifts begin to happen that help to stop Apophis and begin to heal the planet.
