About Los Angeles Comic Con
The Los Angeles Comic Con annually dedicates a 3-day event to celebrating various aspects of geek culture, including comics, video games, anime, cosplay, and pop culture. Initially called the Comikaze Expo, the convention prides itself on being “A convention created by fans, for fans,” and it’s recognized as one of the biggest independent conventions across the U.S. Held at the Los Angeles Convention Center, it offers an experience focused on fans with cosplay meetups, an exhibit hall full of comics and art, and celebrity appearances.
This year, the convention featured a rare cast reunion, such as “Back To The Future” with Michael J. Fox, “The Mandalorian,” and “The Addams Family.” Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen from “Star Wars” were also headlining the convention’s guest list!
Los Angeles Comic Con has announced its new dates will be September 26th, 27th, and 28th of 2025.
The Cosplay National Championships Gallery
The Cosplay National Championships permits no store-bought costumes and asks that the costume maker wear their costume on stage. Contestants receive a 1-5 minute presentation window and must provide a paragraph description of their costume, materials used towards the costume, time, and their character for the hosts to read.
That being said, the cosplays we saw displayed creativity and passion that were nothing short of amazing!
