A bridal store owner and a Cosplayer put together a totally glorious bridal look inspired by Marvel’s Loki.
Bridal store owner Amanda Hunt has a knack for knowing what geek brides want. Together with her friend, cosplayer Damsel Cosplay, they put together a breathtaking Bridal look that was inspired The God of Mischief. The look is bold, daring and non-traditional. A black wedding gown isn’t something we see walking down the aisle too often. But this gown by Maggie Sottero Designs is burdened with glorious purpose.
Loki inspired bridal look
Loki is a character from the Marvel Cinematic Universe played by actor Tom Hiddleston. Loki’s popularity in the Thor and Avengers movies has garnered a wide demand for more merchandise and content. A spinoff series called Loki is set to debut on Disney+ in May 2021 featuring the God of Mischief as he steps out of his brother’s shadow in a new series that takes place after the events of “Avengers: Endgame.” Tom Hiddleston returns as the title character.
You can make an appointment to try on the gown by reaching out to Amanda’s bridal boutique, Lorien Bridal.

If you’re a geeky bride who is looking for a shopping experience that speaks to your geek heart, Lorien Bridal is the place for you!
In a recent episode of the Temple of Geek Podcast, Amanda discussed how despite geek culture becoming more mainstream in the last few years, there’s never enough spaces for geeks to feel like they can be unconditionally themselves. Amanda has created a magical and whimsical safe space for geeky brides to feel understood and accepted. She has done this while also creating an environment that isn’t overwhelmingly geeky.
It’s a place that traditional non-geek brides may enter and still find lovely. It’s also a place where family members (cough cough mother-of-the-bride) won’t feel overwhelmed by the geek culture. The nods to fandoms are subtle but obvious enough that a geeky bride will feel at home.
