Titan Comics Throws Boat Bash at NYCC 2025

Without a doubt, Titan Comics’ presence at New York Comic Con (NYCC) is always a highlight. This year, they hosted an unforgettable book party aboard a historic lightship. On Saturday, October 11, 2025, fans and industry insiders gathered on the spooky Frying Pan Boat, docked at Pier 66, for a celebration marking the release of two sensational titles: “MINKY WOODCOCK: THE GIRL CALLED CTHULHU” by acclaimed artist Cynthia von Buhler, and “HEAT SEEKER. EXPOSED. #3.”

The Perfect Setting for an NYCC Event

The setting itself was part of the fun. The Frying Pan Boat, a historic lightship rumored to be dredged from the depths of the ocean, provided the perfect atmosphere for a launch tied to occult horror and Lovecraft.

Guests were treated to an open bar and a feast of food. This allowed attendees to soak up the energy of NYCC while enjoying the unique venue. However, the true treasures were the exclusive gifts that elevated the night from a simple party to a truly memorable event. Attendees were given a long, black velvet cape, the perfect garment for embracing the theme of the night. Additionally, guests received a coveted hardcover copy of “MINKY WOODCOCK: THE GIRL CALLED CTHULHU.”

Minky Woodcock Meets the Dreaded Cthulhu

The main event was the spotlight on the return of the plucky detective in “MINKY WOODCOCK: THE GIRL CALLED CTHULHU #1.” Artist, author, and playwright Cynthia von Buhler wowed guests with her latest work. This story seamlessly melds her glorious illustration style with the eldritch horrors of H.P. Lovecraft and the dark historical elements of Aleister Crowley.

This third series in the Minky Woodcock saga takes its inspiration from a true WWII maritime operation. It dives headfirst into shocking satanic events, monstrous men, and one salacious sea creature. The story promises Minky’s most chilling encounter yet, as she crosses paths with legendary horror writer H.P. Lovecraft, the very creator of the dreaded Cthulhu. The buzz around this book promises a unique blend of noir mystery and cosmic terror.

Furthermore, the simultaneous celebration of “HEAT SEEKER. EXPOSED. #3” ensured a night of thrills and literary adventure. Titan Comics, an industry giant, clearly knows how to make a splash at Comic Con. Their boat party successfully launched two must-read titles. Also, it gave their fans an experience they won’t soon forget. Here’s to more spectacular events from Titan in the future!
