During a My Hero Academia (MHA) Special Event at the 2024 Anime Expo in Los Angeles, Toho International released the North American premiere date of the next film. My Hero Academia: You’re Next is coming to theaters October 11, 2024 in both English subtitle and dub.
Anime Expo Special Event Panel – Premiere Date and Preview
Fans attending the panel at Anime Expo were given an exclusive look at the first 15 minutes of the upcoming film. Special guests on the panel included Daiki Yamashita, Kenta Miyake, Mamoru Miyano, and Meru Nukumi.
Daiki Yamashita is the voice of Izuku Midoriya. Midoriya is the main protagonist in the My Hero Academia series. Yamashita has voiced Moriya since the series began in 2016. He made his voice acting debut in 2012. The following year, he starred as Rekka Shirogane in Gaist Crusher and Sakamichi Onoda in Yowamushi Pedal.
Kenta Miyake is the voice of All Might. Kenta Miyake made his voice acting debut in 1999. He has given life to many legendary characters. These characters include Scar in Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood and Muhammad Avdol in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders. He has played All Might in My Hero Academia since 2016.
Mamoru Miyano will be voicing Giulio Gandini in My Hero Academia: You’re Next. Mamoru Miyano made his voice acting debut in 2001. Since then, his performances in hit series like Death Note and Mobile Suit Gundam 00 have earned him recognition as a leading talent. Fans of Miyano can hear him in his upcoming roles in the new MHA film as well as the new series Kinnikuman.
Meru Nukumi is the voice of Anna Scervino in the upcoming film. She gained prominence as an exclusive model for Shogakukan’s CanCam magazine. In July 2022, she made her debut as a leading actress in the film My Boyfriend in Orange. This performance earned her a Newcomer of the Year award at the 46th Japan Academy Film Awards.
About My Hero Academia
The story of My Hero Academia is created by Kohei Horikoshi. It takes place in a society where a majority of people of special powers called “quirks.” In fact, it is more uncommon for people to be born without one. However, aspiring hero Izuku Midoriya is one of those unfortunate people born without a quirk. After meeting his favorite hero, All Might, he enrolls in U.A. High School with a goal to become the number 1 hero in all of Japan. The manga is set to complete its run this year.
My Hero Academia: You’re Next is the fourth film in the franchise. The film is heading to theaters in North America on October 11th and will be available to watch in English subtitle and dub. Stream seasons 1-6 on Crunchyroll, with season 7 releasing each week.
