Top 5 Activations At Fan Expo Canada 2025

Fan Expo Canada is back with a bang this year! Celebrating all things nerdy and geeky, Canada’s largest convention is pulling out all the stops. From their attractive celebrity line-up and photo ops to their many panels and activities, there is something for everyone. Including some of the biggest names in entertainment who have made their way up North. Disney, Netflix, Hasbro, Lego, and Paramount+, to name a few, each offering fun activities in the hopes of enticing (and advertising) their latest show, film, or product. Not sure where to start? We’ve got you covered.

5. Miniverse

If you’re looking for an activity to do with the entire family or a group of friends, look no further. MGA’s Miniverse booth is a hands-on experience. Spin the wheel to see which new “Make It Mini” figure you’ll get to create (Cafe, Diner, Jurassic Park, Hello Kitty, and Harry Potter), then set to work. If you’re a little lost on how to build your figurine, don’t fret; they come with instructions, or you can flag down a helper to guide you. Once you’re finished, be sure to cure it with the provided UV light. Don’t forget to tag Fan Expo Canada and officialminiverse on TikTok and Instagram to show off your creation.

4. Netflix’s Wednesday

Need a moment away from the hustle and bustle of the convention? Set up in the middle of the showroom floor is Netflix’s “Wednesday’s Alone Zone” to promote the show’s second season. Decorated ghoulishly with ravens and tombstones, the “Alone Zone” makes for a perfect photo op while you’re waiting in line. Once at the front of the line, attendants direct you into your own chamber. Complete with a mirror to take selfies and haunting sounds all around, it’s a great moment to relax and take a breath. After all, it may be your last.

3. Paramount+

One of the most interactive experiences at the convention so far, Paramount+’s 4D virtual ski lift, isn’t one to miss. Complete with a 360-degree view of the Alps, and the Paramount+ mascot (spoiler alert: it’s a talking goat) guiding the way through the lands of “South Park,” “Yellowstone,” and “A Quiet Place,” to name a few. Be prepared to feel the wind in your hair and get a little wet.

2. Warner Bros Canada, The Conjuring: Last Rites

Enter if you dare. A horrifying retro mirror maze, this experience starts with the blessing of a priest before he sends you on your way into the unknown. Disorienting, terrifying, and filled with jump scares at every turn, there’s nothing to do but scream. Showcasing “Annabelle” and “The Nun,” this maze is filled with horrors to celebrate “The Conjuring: Last Rites” release on September 5th. Advanced tickets can be purchased via the handy QR code on the outside of the maze while you wait.

1. Disney+

Complete with photo ops from some of their hit shows and films, “King of the Hill,” “The Simpsons,” “High School Musical,” and “Boy Meets World,” you’re treated to some intricate set design (we’re a fan of Sharpay and Cory’s lockers), and so much more. However, that’s only part of the fun. Once you make it past the photo ops, you enter the world of “Alien: Earth.” Scanned for parasites (hopefully none burst out of your chest), you’re free to roam the intricate set, take photos, and interact with the environment.

Ushered from sci-fi straight into fantasy, you find yourself in none other than… New York City. Highlighting the world of “Percy Jackson & the Olympians,” you’re greeted with the Gray Sisters Taxi Cab – straight from the set, that swiftly leads to a diner, jukebox and all. Once inside this set piece, you’re given a token from the Gods to send you on your way.

Fan Expo Canada runs from August 21st to August 24th.
