Trailer for new Hulu Romantic Comedy “The Valet”

The trailer for Hulu’s romantic comedy, The Valet, is finally out. The film follows world-famous movie star, Olivia (Samara Weaving) who faces a PR disaster when a paparazzi snaps a photo of her with her married lover, Vincent (Max Greenfield). The hard-working valet Antonio (Eugenio Derbez) accidentally appears in the same photo and is enlisted to pose as Olivia’s new boyfriend as a cover-up. This ruse with Olivia thrusts Antonio into the spotlight and unexpected chaos.

It is an English Language remake of the French film of the same name. This new version is set in Los Angeles among the landscape of beautifully diverse neighborhoods and cultures. As these different worlds and cultures collide, both Olivia and Antonio start to see themselves more clearly than ever before. It is a film about finding out who you really are and what you really want.

The Valet features on-screen and off-screen representation

Beautifully diverse both on-screen and off-screen, The Valet is directed by Richard Wong and stars Eugenio Derbez (Acapulco, Overboard) Samara Weaving (Nine Perfect Strangers), Max Greenfield (New Girl), Betsy Brandt (Breaking Bad), Carmen Salinas Lozano, Amaury Nolasco, Marisol Nichols, Diany Rodriguez, Tiana Okoye, John Pirrucello, Ravi Patel, Noemí González, and Lunay.

Debrez is one of the most influential Mexican writers and actors of his generation. Well known for films like Instructions not included, which became the highest-grossing Spanish-language film to open in North America, this new film keeps in line with his hilarious and heartwarming sense of comedy. His series on AppleTv+, “Acapulco”, which is a spinoff of his film “How to Be a Latin Lover” has just been renewed for a second season. Most recently Debrez was recently seen on stage at the Oscars as he and the rest of the cast of “CODA” accepted the Best Picture award.

“The Valet” premieres on Hulu and across Disney streaming services globally on May 20th, 2022.
