Voice of Heimerdinger in “Arcane” Opens Up About Season 2

The Egyptian Theatre in Los Angeles was transformed into a scene straight out of Piltover for the world premiere of the second and final chapter of Netflix and Riot Games’ animated series, Arcane. Among the star-studded cast was Mick Wingert, the voice behind the beloved and brilliant Heimerdinger.

“Arcane” returns to Netflix this November for its highly anticipated second season. Created by Christian Linke and Alex Yee, this animated series, based on the League of Legends game, has become one of Netflix’s most successful animated adaptations. The impressive voice cast includes Hailee Steinfeld (Vi), Annie Award winner Ella Purnell (Jinx), and Katie Leung (Caitlyn).

Interview with Mick Wingert voice of Heimerdinger in Arcane

In an interview on the Piltover Bridge-inspired carpet, Wingert shared his excitement for fans to see Heimerdinger’s evolution in the upcoming season. “What I’m most excited about is for the fans to finally see Heimerdinger outside of his bubble and how that affects the way he relates to the whole world of Arcane,” Wingert explained.

Heimerdinger, a revered scientist and leader in Piltover, has always been portrayed as somewhat isolated from the realities of the undercity. However, as Wingert hinted, Season 2 will see him venturing beyond his comfort zone and gaining a fresh perspective on the world he helped build.

“He’s learning to see the place he’s called home with brand new eyes,” Wingert added, emphasizing the character’s growth and development.
