During one of the commercial breaks for the 61st Annual Gammy’s Awad Ceremony, fans got their first look of Will Smith as the Genie in Disney’s Aladdin. Last year, Entertainment Weekly gave us a glimpse of all the characters in the upcoming Disney live-action film, but fans noticed that Will Smith was not blue. We were assured that he will be blue when we see him on the big screen. Take a look at the trailer for yourself down below.
We are looking forward to Will Smith’s performance as the Genie. He has big shoes to feel since the last performance was brilliantly done by Robin Williams. It has been said that Will Smith will be paying homage to Robin Williams’ version but will be making the character his own.
