WonderCon held many excellent moments, but the panel for Boy Kills World and the chance to talk with the cast was a definite highlight. We chat with Boy Kills World cast members Brett Gelman, Isaiah Mustafa, and Sharlto Copley and ask them weird questions.
Boy Kills World is directed by Moritz Mohr and written by the team of Tyler Burton Smith and Arend Remmers, the movie boasts an impressive production team led by Sam Raimi and Roy Lee alongside other producers. Bill Skarsgård takes the lead role as “Boy,” joined by a cast including Jessica Rothe, Michelle Dockery, and familiar faces like Brett Gelman, Isaiah Mustafa, and Sharlto Copley. The film also features Famke Janssen and Yayan Ruhian, with narration by H. Jon Benjamin lending voice to the character of Boy.
After the panel, we had the chance to chat with the cast of Boy Kills World – Brett Gelman, Isaiah Mustafa, and Sharlto Copley – and they were an absolute delight! Their incredible chemistry and strong opinions on our random questions shone through. It’s clear their natural humor translates to the film, and their genuine camaraderie only elevates their performances.
The massive panel room for Boy Kills World overflowed with excited fans. As the event began, a steady stream of people continued to file in, determined to snag any available seat. The eager audience was then treated to a sneak preview of the film, which they received with nothing short of excitement. The humor landed perfectly, and the well-choreographed fight scenes were met with enthusiastic applause. The reception, it was clear, was overwhelmingly positive. This wasn’t surprising, considering Sam Raimi’s strong fanbase, who were all out in force at WonderCon.
Skarsgård takes the lead as “Boy” in Boy Kills World. Fueled by revenge for his murdered family, Boy – orphaned, deaf, and voiceless – trains with a shaman to become a weapon. Unleashed on the eve of a brutal purge, Boy unleashes bloody mayhem. Lost in this chaotic world, he encounters rebels and wrestles with the ghost of his rebellious sister.
Boy Kills World boasts more heart and emotion than is normally present in a film with this level of fight choreography. If you’re someone who enjoys movies, this is a must-watch. Catch it in theaters everywhere on April 26th!
