X-Men fans lose it during their Comic-Con@Home panel

The X-Men Fandom Surprise Party was created for Comic-Con @ Home’s digital panel series. Moderator Chandler Poling, host of the X-Reads Podcast, invited X-Men influencers to join him on a panel to talk about their love of the characters and comics.  What the panelists didn’t know is that Poling pre-planned celebrity pop-ins to surprise the panelists!

Panelists include Amanda Lynne (cosplayer), Dylan Carter & Regina Givens (House of X), Khelan Bhatia (Homo Superior Podcast), Jake Wallace (X-Club), and Chris Riley (X-Reads Podcast).

Poling and Riley use X-Reads Podcast to dive into talking about vintage X-Men comics. Jake Wallace runs a book and social club called X-Club that is in the Los Angeles area. Homo Superior Podcast is hosted by five gay nerds in D.C. who talk about all things X-Men and other nerdy things. Amanda Lynne shows her love for the franchise in the form of cosplay. House of X is a Facebook group where fans are encouraged to discuss their love for X-Men in a civil manner.

Watch as voice actors Lenore Zann (Rogue) and Cal Dodd (Wolverine) from X-Men The Animated Series, and Finola Hughes (Emma Frost) from Generation X, make cameo appearances allowing the panelists to gush about their impact on the X-Men universe.

Panelists pleasantly surprised with the X-Men cameos

The first celebrity to make their appearance was Lenore Zann. The moment she started to speak, every single one of the panelists laughed with giddiness. Of course they were star-struck! Next up, Cal Dodd. He came on in character, and each of the panelists instantly knew who was on the call with them. Amanda Lynn even had her Wolverine stuffed animal with her while they were talking.

They continue to talk about their favorite characters, scenes, and story-lines. Then, they get a surprise from Finola Hughs!
