Both YTV Animation and the YTE anime staff shared exciting sneak peeks of their upcoming animation projects at this year’s Anime Expo at the Los Angeles Convention Center! Anime internet personality, Gigguk, hosted the panel. Fans were delighted to learn more about what to expect in the coming months.

“Ascendance of a Bookworm” Season Four

The main highlight of the panel was the announcement of “Ascendance of a Bookworm‘s” fourth season. To commemorate the news, WIT Studio CEO, George Wade, Managing Director of TO Books, Yui Shibata, and YTV Animation producer, Goshi Yoshida, took the stage.
The season four trailer featured the main character. She now goes by Rozemyne and tries to bring books into a fantasy land. Unfortunately, in this world, books could disrupt the status of the ruling class.
Wada promised fans that they can expect the new season to “live up to the WIT Studio quality.” Shibata noted that, with the series’ 10th anniversary coming up, the “partnership with WIT Studios is very exciting and should make the visuals and action better than ever.” In addition, Yoshida believes that “Ascendance of a Bookworm” could potentially become the Japanese version of “Harry Potter.”
Coming Soon: The Vermilion Mask

The panel also revealed that the hit manga, “The Vermilion Mask,” is set for an anime adaptation. There was a teaser trailer showing off the visuals from the manga to emphasize the action-packed series.
Gigguk welcomed the Chief Producer of YTV Animation, Kozo Misawa, and the editor of the manga, Taichi Kimura, to talk about “The Vermilion Mask.” Misawa, who practiced English to talk to fans, says that it is so captivating because “every episode is like the climax of the series!”
Kimura revealed that there are tons of battles and unique masks. There is even a cat mask that helps the wearer see in the dark and “beat the shit out of your opponent!” Volume 7 of the manga releases in Japan this month. One lucky fan got to take it home in a raffle at the end of the panel.
Other Exciting Announcements

Of course, there were more trailers during the panel. The emotionally intense and action-packed second season of “Blue Miburo” comes out this winter. In addition, fans got to see the trailer of an adorable isekai titled, “SHIROHIYO – Reincarnated as a Neglected Noble: Raising My Baby Brother With Memories From My Past Life.” Furthermore, we got to see the PV of “Hero Without a Class: Who Even Needs Skills?!,” which will be released in October 2025 on HiDive. There was also a special message from the anime director, Kaoru Yabana. He said, “No matter how difficult the circumstances may be, like the main character Arel, one can change their future through hard work.” The rundown ended with the reveal of “Mechanical Marie.” Director Junji Nishimura describes it as “a chaotic romantic comedy” with a ton of heart.
