Zachary Levi Spotlight at L.A. Comic Con
A lot of fans know him as Chuck Bartowski from the television show Chuck. Others know him as the voice of the charming and daring Flynn Rider from Disney’s Tangled. He is also the incredible Billy Batson in the superhero film Shazam! At L.A. Comic Con, Zachary Levi was the star of the main stage for a question and answer spotlight. Fans were able to ask him anything and everything. At one point, he went on a tangent about the importance of mental health, and it was a necessary and incredible reminder.
The actor asked the audience to raise their hand if they struggle with stress, anxiety, and/or depression. Then, he said, “Yeah, me too, all three. You are not alone.” So many times, those of us struggling with these mental health issues can feel like we are alone. Zachary reminded the audience that this is not the case.
He went on to say:
“You are not alone. Talk about it. Destigmatize mental health. Mental health is like dental health, guys. It starts like a little cavity, then it becomes a root canal. So, let’s catch them while they’re cavities.”
If you or someone you know needs help with their mental health, then check out the resources from Los Angeles’s Department of Mental Health.
