Attention all geeks! The City of Pleasanton is about to become the geek capital of Northern California. The Colossus Con Pop Culture Convention coming to the Alameda County Fairgrounds April 8th, 2017. This convention will be a family-friendly celebration of all things pop culture from comic books to movies to fantasy and sci-fi and will feature celebrity guests, cosplayers, artists, collectors and vendors.
SPECIAL GUESTS
The celebrity guest lineup includes:
- Michael Bell, known for hundreds of voice over roles including The Transformers, G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero, Rugrats, Tangles and The Smurfs.
- Julie Dolan of Star Wars Rebels will also be in attendance. Check out our 10 Questions With Julie Dolan to learn more about her and tell her we said hi!
- Jack Stauffer, who was Bojay on the original Battlestar Galactica,
- Kathy Garver who provided the voice of Firestar on Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends.
- VR Troopers’ actors Michael Hollander and Brad Hawkins
COMIC BOOK ARTISTS AND CREATORS
For the comic fan, there are many renowned comic book artists and creators such as

SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE
Once you are done meeting the guests, you will have access to shop from various exhibitors and creators. You will also have the opportunity to meet local cosplayers and fan groups such as Saber Guild and Rebel Legion. Why not take picture in front of a Jurassic Park Jeep or you can attend panels with many of the special guests. The program will also feature a cosplay contest with a trophy and cash prize for the winner!
Colossus Con promises to be a day of fun for fans of superheroes, comic books, movies, TV shows, toys and collectibles. The fun begins April 8th, 2017 at 10 am and welcomes fans of all ages passionate about pop culture and especially comics and movies. Tickets available at www.colossuscon.com.
