Temple Of Geek Staff Slain by Thanos

mmPosted by

It is with great sadness that we report that Thanos has slain most of the staff here at Temple of Geek!

List of the Dissapeared (Top to bottom per row):

Monica: Our Social Media Director and Lead Photographer. Her greatest accomplishment was once having her hair dyed for a BuzzFeed Video.

Josie: Cosplay Team Lead, Josie, by day was known as a calm, mild mannered Graphic Design student who never missed a due date. But when darkness fell she became the Proverbial Princess. She was a cosplaying fiend out to decorate the world in glitter.

Brian: Presumed dead, but we aren’t really sure. He did not check in on Facebook as safe. He liked big books and could not lie. Had been a fan of all things geek for as long as anyone could remember and he had a long list of things he needed to check out that just got longer as he got busier. We believe he was secretly a dragon.

Marcus: Co-Host of the Temple Of Geek Podcast. His vast knowledge of Star Wars and Geekery will be sadly missed. As he passed on before he could share more of his geekdom with world.

Nate: Maker of Memes. Whovian. Cosplayer. His love of Spider-Man and Doctor Who will live on through his Instagram page.  Through the memes and cosplay that he worked so hard to perfect. The only thing that remains of Nate was this selfie that was taken at the moment of his death.

Danniel: Our fearless leader started Temple of Geek in 2012 with his friend as a podcast. Since then it become a lot more. His obsessions were Transformers, Star Wars, Classic Video Games, Superheroes, and comedies. His life was turned to the Darkside when his father gave him a gift in 1985. He was presented with the leader of the Decepticons, Megatron. Since then, Danniel become a collector of the robots in disguise. The only other thing that comes close to his love of Transformers is Star Wars. He met a few of the cast over the years. His one goal in life is to meet with George Lucas and just discuss movies with him. Thanos did not give him that chance.

Dave:  He was the Creative Content Director at TOG and did not like talking about himself. We are left to contemplate about his mysterious life, wondering who he was and what could have been.

Paul: Paul was an aspiring filmmaker. He breathed, ate and crapped out movies. To sum up: Paul was our Movie Guy! A living “IMDB” in the making. Aside from that, he loved anything geek associated. From comics, to costumes, to conventions, to video games. Along with Danniel, used his talents and techniques, to help bring you T.O.G fans a little more from the Podcast experience. Paul’s favorite quotes included: “whatever”, “continue”, and our personal favorite, “I hope it doesn’t suck”!”

Jose: Jose a California native was in love with all thing nerdy and geek culture since he was seven. He could spend all day talking about comics, movies, TV shows and video games. Before his death you could catch Jose going to all the pop culture conventions around Southern California. He will be missed.

Matthew: Writer. He was born at an early age. It didn’t last. He was once almost punched by one of Jackie Chan’s bodyguards – which probably means he wasn’t ready for the Final Boss. He was also an extra in two episodes of LOST. He spoke excitingly about how the catering was phenomenal. We like to think that he is not dead but safely kept in the Soul Stone.

Amanda: Co-Host of the Retro Rebel Podcast. Amanda cut her teeth on her dad’s old Tandy before graduating to SNES and beyond. An accomplished guild leader in multiple titles and sucker for console RPGs; Amanda spent most of her free time with a bit of tech in her hands. With a life philosophy derived from a Spock quote and more passport stamps then shoes; she was a well-traveled nerd with the urge to pontificate. She is survived by her co-host Stacy Bishop, now Leader of the Temple of Geek team.

The following members of the Temple of Geek Staff checked in on Facebook as safe from Thanos.

List of those Safe:

Stacy: Now the Leader and Director of all things at Temple of Geek, Stacy, is known to dabble in the dark side of the force and uses science to teach students to be Batman. When not speaking science he is scouring the internet for information that will probably spoil his favorite movie before it comes out. Little happens in the respective worlds of Star Wars or Batman that he is not aware of. The perfect choice to keep the Temple of Geek website afloat after such a hard loss.

Aaron: Comedian, Cosplayer, podcaster and Hug Dealer, Aaron has been a lifelong geek and loves to share his nerddom with the world. Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, Aaron now lives in Los Angeles sharing his talents with the world and just plain being a geek. He will now be in charge of all writing for temple of geek. as he is only one of 2 writers who survived the slaughter.

Maggie: The last of the Temple of Geek photographers and one of two surviving writers, Maggie will now take over all digital content for Temple Of Geek. Maggie lives her life with the same grace that Anakin Skywalker did approximately ten seconds before he got his legs lightsabered off. Yet she survived and is tasked with preserving the memories of those who went before her.
