Day 3 of Fan Expo Dallas 2017Â ended and Temple of Geek departed. You can tell people were exhausted by the end of this thing. Today was my last two photo-ops and just a fan day for me.
I hit the floor and did some shopping. I purchased two Transformers that I have been looking for. I also met legendary artist Drew Struzan, the artist who created some of the most memorable movie posters ever including Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Back To The Future and more. I picked up a Star Wars Circus poster reprint and he was gracious enough to sign it for me!
Photo-Ops
Like I mentioned earlier, today was photo-op day for me. I had pre-purchased two photos Alan Tudyk and a team-up of Adam West/Burt Ward. The photos came out great (especially Alan Tudyk’s).
Celebrities
I decided to walk around a bit and check out the autograph lines. All the lines still had people swarming to meet their idols. It was packed but not as bad as Saturday. I was able to meet most of the cast of Rocky Horror Picture show.
Wrap-up
Day 3 was less crowded then Saturday. It was nice to be able to move around and actually enjoy some of the show. If I had one regret it would be that I wish I was able to attend some of the panels. Other than that, the show was great minus the issues that it had. I hope Fan Expo management took some notes and do a better job of managing the crowds next year.
