Cosplay Questions answered amid the SAG-AFTRA Strikes
Members of the National Association of Voice Actors and SAG-AFTRA answered questions from Temple of Geek cosplay culture contributors on how hobbyists can show support for current strikes, and their fandoms and not negatively impact the efforts and work of the unions. The junket was in preparation for the panel “AI and Entertainment: The Performer’s Perspective” on July 22 which discussed in-depth how artificial intelligence has been and will be impacting these respective industries.
The panel “AI and Entertainment: The Performer’s Perspective” was held on July 22, at 10:30 am in Room 29CD. The meeting will be moderated by Linsay Rousseau (Transformers: War for Cybertron, God of War Ragnarok), and panelists include SAG/AFTRA national executive director and chief negotiator Duncan Crabtree-Ireland, Ashly Burch (Mythic Quest, Horizon Zero Dawn), Cissy Jones (The Owl House, Transformers Earthrise), Zeke Alton (The Calisto Protocol, SAG/AFTRA negotiating committee), and Tim Friedlander (Record of Ragnarok, president/founder of NAVA).
