WandaVision

Premiering on January 15 on Disney+, WandaVision marks the first series from Marvel Studios streaming exclusively on Disney+ starring Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany. The series is a blend of classic television and the Marvel Cinematic Universe in which Wanda Maximoff and Vision—two super-powered beings living idealized suburban lives—begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems.

Details about the show’s storylines have been scarce but the emerging theory is that Wanda is trapped in some kind of alternative reality. Perhaps it exists only in her mind or perhaps she is somehow being manipulated the way that Mysterio manipulated Peter Parker’s reality in Spider-Man: Far From Home. When phase four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe was announced at San Diego Comic-Con 2019Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness was slated to arrive right after WandaVision. Leading to the theory that it would be Doctor Strange who would help rescue Wanda from this alternate reality.
