Do you and your squad have what it takes to make it to the top? Starting in 2026, NetEase and Marvel Games have announced that Marvel Rivals is launching the Marvel Rivals Professional League.
2025 saw the expansion of Marvel Rivals Esports utilizing the Ignite Series. This is a global series containing four seasons within each year of competition. This partnership will continue, but with the inclusion of the Partner Teams Program. This program aims to foster sustainable growth as well as maintaining competitive integrity. And for those curious what the prize is at the top, the annual prize cool for Marvel Rivals Ignite 2026 is an uncapped up to $3 million USD. So how can you participate?
The 2026 season encapsulates three competitive stages, including two international LAN events. Preseason starts in April, a new addition for the 2026 competitive year. Stage 1 starts in May and runs through June with Mid-Season Finals occurring in August to wrap up Stage 1. Stage 2 picks up in September and runs through October with the Grand Finals taking place in late November. This is an international event and organization. The Pro League features four regions: Americas, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, Pacific and China.
Every regional Ignite Series tournament in 2026, including the Mid-Season Finals, will serve as a qualifier for the Marvel Rivals Grand Finals. Final placements in Stage 1, the Mid-Season Finals, and Stage 2 will result in the awarding of league points. Points accrued can secure a spot for teams in the global finals for those teams who did not win Stage 2 playoffs, but who are near the top of the annual league leaderboard.
Marvel Rivals Esports is also introducing a Promotion/Relegation system. This seeks to exist to ensure teams aspiring to join the professional league have a clear path to enter. Teams that aren’t yet in the professional league can earn points through the Marvel Rivals Championship 2026. Teams successful in this will have a chance to compete against League teams at the Mid-Season Finals and the end of the 2026 season.
