Anime Expo 2026: Infinite Inc. Premieres Dark Yuri Romance “I Want to Love You Till Your Dying Day”

Each year, Anime Expo brings together fans and industry from Japan, the US, and all over the world for the largest celebration of Japanese pop culture in North America. Highlighting the very best in Japanese entertainment, music, fashion, and video games. The event kicked off today in Los Angeles with an incredible Day 1. Infinite Inc. took center stage on Thursday, July 2, hosting its “Stories Made to Last: Infinite Presents Their Next Big Titles” panel.

The event took fans behind the scenes of beloved stories and provided an exclusive world premiere screening of the first episode of the new, dark yuri romance series, I Want to Love You Till Your Dying Day. Joining the panel to celebrate the launch was series Producer Ena Hamabe.

A Captivating Balance of Cute and Dark

The audience reacted with loud applause after experiencing the world premiere of Episode 1. Reflecting on the crowd’s energy, Producer Ena Hamabe commented that the attendees at Anime Expo are truly “fired up” for their favorite pieces of media, expressing immense gratitude for the warm reception.

Hamabe also shared her initial thoughts on the project and what initially sparked her passion for it:

“When I first saw the art online, the cute animation and dark fantasy themes drew me in. I wanted to see those two elements come together.”

Attendees were treated to a special sneak peek behind the production, marking the first time these assets have been shown at Anime Expo. The audience received a rare look at the original storyboard drawings from the promotional video. Hamabe explained that delicate work went into the project, noting that everyone involved spent a substantial amount of time perfecting those intricate details.

Additionally, the promotional video for the ending theme was revealed during the panel. The ending song is titled “Eternal,” performed by the artist sajou no hana.

Key visuals featuring stunning, dark scenes from the premiere episode were also released during the convention, giving fans an immediate look at what lies ahead. Hamabe emphasized that this is an enjoyable series for everyone, even for viewers who may not be deeply familiar with the yuri genre.

A Story of Love and War ‘I Want to Love You Till Your Dying Day’

Death lurks behind a mysterious school where children train to become magical weapons of war. Among them is Sheena, who wishes an end to the conflict. On one gruesome night, Sheena meets a strange girl covered in blood, with a smile on her face.

The mysterious girl turns out to be a secret weapon, an immortal child soldier named Mimi. When the two become roommates, there is growing tension and attraction. How will the peace-loving Sheena live with someone who is rumored to be the ultimate secret weapon? I Want to Love You Till Your Dying Day starts streaming on Crunchyroll on July 7, 2026.

Expanding on their upcoming slate, Infinite Inc. announced three brand-new projects currently in the works, accompanying each announcement with special promotional videos:

To close out the panel, the audience participated in an interactive game of rock-paper-scissors against Producer Ena Hamabe. One lucky winner walked away with a signed shikishi to commemorate the milestone presentation.
