As visitors from Hiden, Boelate, and Eslinn converge on Solsein Divine Academy, the search for Drel’s hidden room begins. Among those pulled into this expanding mystery is Alicia, voiced by Katie Wetch (they/she). Alicia is a former hero who once dreamed of becoming a legendary warrior. After confronting the Demon King Clevatess and being revived by him, she was thrust into circumstances far beyond her original expectations. In Season 2, she embarks on a new mission with Klen that takes her directly to Solsein.

Wetch notes that their approach to Alicia’s voice has expanded significantly since the series began. While Alicia started as a direct, determined heroic stereotype, the second season reveals a broader emotional spectrum. “The flower has bloomed just a little bit, and we can see her being cheeky, and we can see her getting excited about things,” Wetch explains, noting that the role now demands a larger range. Operating under a disguise in Solsein forces her to adopt a more tactical and logical mindset, balancing her fierce nature with strategic thinking. Wetch shares, “We get to see this slightly more tactical version of her, and I really like that because you can also see that relationship between her and Klen has made an impact on her in a positive way.”
A Diverse Background in Performance and Production
When recording for Clevatess II at Crunchyroll’s Dallas studio, Wetch often records after fellow cast members. This setup allows them to hear existing vocal tracks, such as Morgan Berry’s performance as Klen, which helps inform Alicia’s dynamic responses and banter. “Klen and Alicia’s banter is always so fun because I’m usually the second one to record, so I get to hear Morgan’s incredible performance and work off of that, which adds so much life to it,” Wetch says. Guided by the show’s direction and inspired by the original Japanese cast, Wetch focuses on delivering an authentic, grounded performance that honors the established narrative. “It’s so fun getting inspired by another person, but it’s also so cool to hear the minor differences in the takes,” Wetch adds.
