Interview with Rick Morales at New York Comic Con
Entertainment Correspondent Alba K. Guerrero and other journalists at New York Comic Con speak with Rick Morales about Mortal Kombat Legends: Snow Blind.
When we asked Morales about the challenges he faced while trying to put this film together, he told us that a lot of it was the challenge of doing something new.
“I think it was we were switching things up pretty heavily, I think, story-wise on this one from what we had done with the last film.”
He went on to say, “It was switching gears to tell a smaller story and trying to really make sure that that resonated. You know, it’s the reason why I wanted to direct this one myself.”

Mortal Kombat Legends: Snow Blind
Snow Blind finds vicious, power-mad Kano determined to take over Earthrealm, one soul at a time. He embarks on a brutal assault from town to a defenseless town. But when the cocky and talented but undisciplined Kenshi doesn’t take a knee, Kano and his clan destroy the young warrior, taking his eyesight and his confidence. Retired Kuai Liang is the only one powerful enough to challenge the malevolent Kano. Kenshi finds renewed hope and a clear path to redemption.
Manny Jacinto, David Wenham, and Ron Yuan are the voice cast as Kenshi Takahashi, Kano, and Kuai Liang. The film is produced and directed by Rick Morales who has previously worked on the Mortal Kombat Legends franchise and Injustice. The film is derived from a script by Jeremy Adams who also wrote for the first two films.
From Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Mortal Kombat Legends: Snow Blind arrives on Digital on October 9, 2022, and on 4K Ultra HD Combo Pack and Blu-ray on October 11, 2022.
