Digital manga platform and publisher Omoi held its industry panel at Anime NYC (held August 20–23, 2026, at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in NYC), delivering major announcements for manga fans. Highlights included an exclusive license for the romance series Love Is the Sweetest Journey, a physical print distribution partnership with Scholastic Graphix for A Snow Fox at the Northern Fort, and the addition of over 40 series to Omoi Premium from Titan Manga and Manga Mavericks Books.
Exclusive Digital License: Love Is the Sweetest Journey
Omoi has licensed the travel-themed romantic comedy series Love Is the Sweetest Journey (Tabi wa Ui Mono Amai Mono) by writer Momoshiro (Do as the Wolf Prince Commands!, My Sadistic Boyfriend) and artist Tomoko Mitsuki. English serialization will begin in 2027 exclusively through the Omoi Premium digital subscription. Originally serialized in Bungeishunju’s josei magazine Seasons, the 2023 manga explores real-world locations throughout Japan.
Synopsis: Suzune is about to turn 30 when her boyfriend of three years dumps her after revealing he has been cheating. Angry and depressed, she travels to Miyazaki Prefecture to cleanse her soul while filming videos for her travel social channel. There, she meets Yuujin, a mysterious young novelist suffering from writer’s block. After a drunken night together, Yuujin realizes Suzune might be the inspiration he needs and asks her to travel with him.
Print Edition: A Snow Fox at the Northern Fort
A Snow Fox at the Northern Fort is a 2020 fantasy manga series featuring art by Tawa Akeno, based on light novels by Tsukasa Mikuni, and character designs by Sochu. And is heading to physical print. Omoi, which began digitally serializing the title in 2026, is partnering with Scholastic’s Graphix imprint to release black-and-white print editions starting in fall 2027.
Synopsis: An ordinary young woman is reincarnated in another world as Milphyria, a tiny snow spirit taking the form of a fox in the northern mountains. Left home alone when her mother leaves for the capital, loneliness causes Mil to wander off into a fort full of tough knights. A scarred, one-eyed vice-commander takes a liking to her and helps her find a new home at the fort.
45+ Titles Added to Omoi Premium
Omoi is adding 45 titles from Titan Manga (an imprint of Titan Comics) to its platform. Early volumes of Sanda, Record Journey, and The Elegant Courtly Life of the Tea Witch are available today, with the full catalog rolling out in the coming weeks. Subscribers can read all series in full with an Omoi Premium subscription or purchase individual volumes directly (Premium members receive a 20% discount on volume purchases).
Additionally, Vegetable Sandwich by Banjo Saitou (published in English by Manga Mavericks Books) will join Omoi Premium on September 29, 2026. Inspired by 80s shonen manga, it follows Tsukushi, a weakling with the look of a thug, and Warabi, a strong elementary student without friends, who bond after an encounter with an escaped zoo lion.
