Embracing Your Inner Fangirl
Fangirls exist in all forms. From music to books to sports, as long as one is passionate about something, then they are a fangirl. At times, it is easy to struggle with ways to express and embrace those passions.
Portrait of a Fangirl – Anne Yatco
Anne Yatco is best known as the voices behind Jujutsu Kaisen’s Nobara Kugisaki and Genshin Impact’s Raiden Shogun. In this episode of Portrait of a Fangirl podcast, Anne tells the story of how embracing her inner fangirl led her to where she is today.
You can find Anne on Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok.
The idea behind Portrait of a Fangirl began as a photography project with the goal of capturing the rich and diverse manifestations of fangirling. We wanted to take portraits of geeky women to celebrate their fandoms. We soon realized that, even though a picture—as the cliché goes—is worth a thousand words, these women have stories to tell that require a more robust mode of storytelling.
