Doctor Who‘s 60th Anniversary special finally has a confirmed air time for around the world! On X (formerly Twitter) and Disney+’s Instagram, it has been confirmed that “The Star Beast” will be released worldwide on November 25th at 6:30pm GMT/1:30pm EST/10:30am PST. Additionally, new photos have been released to celebrate this news.

This is the first time since “The Woman Who Fell to Earth” that an episode has premiered worldwide at the same time. Jodie Whittaker’s first episode as the Doctor released on the BBC, BBC America, and other platforms concurrently. However, BBCA and other channels ran the episode with ads. The last time Doctor Who aired worldwide with no ads for any viewers was 2013’s “The Day of the Doctor”(🛒).

“The Star Beast”

The first of three 60th anniversary specials to air is “The Star Beast”. This Doctor Who special will air Saturday, November 25th at the same time worldwide! I know I already said that, but it’s very exciting!

The confirmed cast includes, of course, David Tennant as the 14th Doctor and Catherine Tate as Donna Temple-Noble. Also in the special are Yasmin Finney as Rose Temple-Noble and Jacqueline King as Sylvia Noble. It has also been revealed that Miriam Margolyes will voice The Meep- a strange alien visitor to Earth.

Also returning to the show is Karl Collins as Shaun Temple. Shaun was last seen in Doctor Who in the two-part special “The End of Time”. Towards the end of the episode, Donna and Shaun married and were able to start their life together pretty comfortably as the Doctor got them a winning lottery ticket as a wedding gift!

Future Doctor Who 60th Anniversary Air Times

After “The Star Beast” airs on November 25th, two more specials will air on December 2nd and December 9th respectively. The episodes will also star David Tennant and Catherine Tate. These Doctor Who 60th anniversary specials do not have a confirmed time to air yet.

The Doctor Who 60th anniversary specials air on the BBC in the UK and Ireland and Disney+ worldwide! The first Doctor Who 60th anniversary special airs Nov 25th at 6:30pm GMT.

Are you excited for Doctor Who‘s 60th anniversary to air at the same time worldwide? Hooray for not having to avoid spoilers as the UK watches it any more! (Unless you work Saturdays like this author does- oh well!)

  1. If it’s going to be released at the same time then it needs to be 10:30 a.m. Pacific Standard Time not p.m. like you put in the article.
