‘Smallville’ stars & ‘Talkville’ Podcast Hosts Tom Welling & Michael Rosenbaum to Record First Live Episode in LA

For fans of Superman, Lex Luthor, and the TV show about the adventures of a young Clark Kent, Smallville just got a little bit closer to home. Talk Ville, the Smallville rewatch podcast hosted by the series’ stars Tom Welling and Michael Rosenbaum, will record its first live episode. Taking place over two nights on May 21st and 22nd, the live recordings will take place at The Bourbon Room in Hollywood. Welling and Rosenbaum announced the event on social media in March. In the video, they tease behind-the-scenes stories, a Q&A, trivia, and even bald caps along with a look back at the series. A second show was swiftly added in April due to popular demand.

TALK VILLE Live Recording to Celebrate Smallville and its Fans

“It’s gonna be fantastic,” promised Rosenbaum in the video which he shared on his Instagram. Rosenbaum played a version of famed Superman villain Lex Luthor on the first seven seasons of the show. Welling, who portrayed Clark Kent for ten years on Smallville added, “No one goes home empty-handed.”

In addition to general admission tickets, a limited number of special admission tickets were made available. This VIP tier allows attendees to experience the fan-favorite “Smallville Nights” pre-show where Welling and Rosenbaum interact with fans and re-enact scenes from the show.

Talk Ville Podcast Brings Back Beloved Stars and Fan-Favorites Weekly

The podcast, which revisits every episode of the iconic WB/CW series, began in 2022. Welling and Rosenbaum created Talk Ville with the intention to provide listeners with their ‘weekly dose of nostalgia’ and ‘an inside look at what it was like to film each episode and hear fun facts that only those on set could tell you’. Since the show’s launch, not only have Welling and Rosenbaum faithfully covered the first four seasons of the show, the pair have passed the mic to the actors responsible for other beloved character’s from Smallville’s run.

Both of Clark’s leading ladies, Kristin Kruek (Lana Lang) and Erica Durance (Lois Lane) have appeared on the podcast. Furthermore, fan-favorite guest stars also have stopped by. Smallville’s young version of The Flash Kyle Gallner, and Star Trek franchise star Anson Mount have joined the hosts. Since before Mount traversed the galaxy on Star Trek: Discovery and Stark Trek: Strange New Worlds, he guest-starred on Smallville’s second season.

Those who can’t make it to the live show in May need not despair. The Talk Ville podcast is available on all major podcasting platforms. Additionally, an integral part of the podcast features Welling and Rosenbaum answering fan questions through the show’s hotline. Also, Talk Ville offers a Patreon subscription that allows fan special perks and access from anywhere in the world.
