During Summer Game Fest Play Days, we got our hands on Street Fighter 6 Year 2 Character and Ultimate Pass fighter and series veteran M. Bison, whose inclusion in the roster was announced during the Summer Game Fest live showcase, along with Fatal Fury‘s Terry Bogard, Mai Shiranui, and Elena in an awesome, fast-paced trailer.
We got to play around 20 minutes (mostly off camera) with M. Bison and will showcase some basic gameplay, his moveset, animations, and costumes, as well as his Critical Art. I am by no means an FGC expert, so please excuse the casual gameplay.

After being seemingly defeated by Ryu in Street Fighter V, the iconic villain makes his triumphant return in a big, bad way. Longtime players will feel right at home with his moveset, while also giving fans a fresh take on the character. His speed coupled with his relatively short ranged attacks make a character better suited for close quarters combat, and his Super Arts pack quite the punch, although his Level 1 can be tricky to land. Besides his new look, his alternate costume is his recognizable hat and uniform, following behind the recently released Akuma and his nostalgic get-up.
M. Bison will be playable starting June 26th, with Fatal Fury‘s Terry Bogard, Mai Shiranui, and Elena coming later. Special thanks to Capcom for the hands-on demo.
In our launch review of Street Fighter 6, we said:
Street Fighter 6 is a strong, powerhouse entry into Capcom’s legendary fighting franchise. It’s great for returning veteran players, but there is a slightly high barrier to entry for curious newcomers. The addition of the Modern control scheme is enticing, albeit a bit of a trap that will leave you at a disadvantage in the long run. The visuals and art style are the best the series has seen (except for World Tour’s awful performance), and the higher-octane, aggressive combat is a good step forward from Street Fighter V. Online functionality ran well pre-launch and will surely continue to do so post launch, just be weary of the game’s cluttered and hard to navigate user interface.
