After three years The Mighty Nein’s Journey Comes to a Close

Three years ago, Critical Role’s highly successful second campaign (the Mighty Nein) premiered; with highs and lows, twists and turns, and cliffhangers that left the watcher either laughing, crying, or in shock alongside the cast, it’s been one hell of a ride and a privilege to witness.  Over the course of 530 hours of adventures, 440 villains’ defeated, and over 100 hours of battles (thanks, CritRoleStats) today, June 3rd, marks the end of this epic saga as they embark on one final adventure!

The Mighty Nein’s Journey Comes to a Close

The second campaign has chronicled the adventures of the Mighty Nein; Jester Lavorre (Laura Bailey), Yasha Nydoorin (Ashley Johnson), Caleb Widogast (Liam O’Brien), Beauregard “Beau” L ionett (Marisha Ray), Nott the Brave/Veth Brenatto (Sam Riegel), Fjord (Travis Willingham), Mollymauk “Molly” Tealeaf and Caduceus Clay (both played by Taliesin Jaffe) as they explored the continent of Wildemount, forming friendships, loves, spitting and laughing in the face of death and discovering not all goblins are as they seem.

Final Thoughts on The Mighty Nein’s Journey

As someone who has been following the adventures of these misfits during quarantine, it’s sort of bittersweet that it ends as life begins to go back to a form of normal.  These characters have become like family and have given us all something to look forward to every Thursday night.  That being said, I can’t wait to see what the minds at Critical Role have in store for us next.  It’s been an honor to be allowed at their DnD table every week.

To the Mighty Nein!  And dearest critters, is it Thursday yet?
