If you walked down the toy aisle of your local Wal-Mart, you may have caught a glimpse of a new toyline gracing the shelves. This toyline is called the Alien Collection and comes to us just in time to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Alien franchise. Temple of Geek received wave 1 to review. What are our thoughts? Find out below.
This first wave includes 6 sets that include various Xenomorphs, Marines, Scientists, Facehuggers, Vehicles, and a Queen. The figures are produced by Lanard, the company that produced figures such as The Corps!, Rampage, and Kong Skull Island.
The Xenomorph figures, with the exception of the queen, measure approximately 5 inches in height while the human figures scale in at 4 inches. Each human figure includes a weapon of some sort. The Xenomorphs themselves don’t have any accessories and come in a rainbow of colors.
These figures are aimed at children 7 years and up. I will say, that the quality of these figures won’t be at some collector’s standards but are perfectly fine for what they are intended to be. That being a toy to be played with. Let’s take a look at some of the various sets.

The figures are durable enough to endure the rigors of playtime with children. Adult collectors, you are probably going to stay away from this if you are a casual collector, but in you are a fan of the Alien franchise, these toys might deserve some shelf space in your collection.
