Ambrosia Sky to End With Act 2, Coming Later This Year

Ambrosia Sky, the debut title from indie studio Soft Rains, was initially intended as a three-act release. Act One launched in November of 2025 and subsequent releases for the final two acts were to come. The studio has since pivoted and will be completing the game’s emotional narrative with Act Two, launching sometime this year. Upon release of Act Two, it will be a free DLC for those who already own Act One. However, players new to the game can expect the base price of the game to rise slightly, indented to adjust for the expanded content.

Finishing What She Started

Dalia’s story and explorations will be concluded on The Cluster during Act 2. Finally, she will find the answers as to what occurred here, whether good, bad, or indifferent. Dalia will also resolve her search to find Maeve, her former partner and someone who has been haunting this journey all along.

Outside of a beautifully written narrative, players can expect the fantastic graphics, music, and sound design choices that made act one vibrant and alive. There will also be new mission locations to search and brand new exo-fungus to combat and collect. Included will be an updated progression system with brand new upgrades. This allows for fresh new ways to play as players conclude this moving story.

In Act One, Dalia’s job took her to The Cluster, a settlement on the rings of Saturn. Her role as a scarab, a clean-up crew for extraterrestrial fungi, equips her with a super soaker-style weapon known as a sprayer. Alone, with sprayer in hand, she discovers this job is a little different. The state of fungal decay quite extreme. More important is that this was her home and the home of her people. Act One was cathartic as you blasted away fungi, but also heart wrenching as the newly sanitized POVs became the ghosts-of-a-life-past. For a more in-depth look at Act One check out my review, where I gave it a 9 out of 10. Its fun and relaxing gameplay loop was a standout, and I really grew to care about Dalia as a character.

Ambrosia Sky: Act Two will launch later this year.
