Meet the New Dual Protagonists Designed by Tite Kubo
BLEACH Mirrors High features a brand-new, original story set directly after the events of the Thousand-Year Blood War arc. Standing at the center of this new narrative are two dual protagonists, designed from the ground up by Tite Kubo: Shirin Migishima and Shirane Sanari.

A Comment from Series Creator Tite Kubo:
“For this project, I have been involved from the kickoff meeting and worked on the title, scenario, and character designs. As for character designs, I got so excited working on them and ended up doing more than what was requested.
For the logo design, I wanted to come up with something that resembles my style. I made it simple, yet something that will leave an impression the moment you see it.
I sat in on the audition and also took part in the recording sessions, so the characters turned out just as I imagined. The story is partly related to the main scenario of the comics, so I hope you look forward to that too.”
Knowing that Kubo has personally overseen the scenario, the voice talent auditions, and character concepts ensures that Mirrors High will deliver an authentic BLEACH experience that expands safely into the series’ official lore.
The Ever-Growing Legacy of BLEACH
Originally serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump, Tite Kubo’s smash-hit sword-battle manga has sold over 130 million copies worldwide. The anime adaptation, which first captured hearts in 2004, spans over 360 episodes and four feature films.
The revival of the anime with the Thousand-Year Blood War arc has introduced the series to a whole new generation of fans. This announcement arrives at the perfect time, as the final part of the anime adaptation, BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War – The Calamity, is officially scheduled to begin broadcasting on July 25, 2026.
