Captain Marvel 2 will hit the big screen November 2022

An announcement from Walt Disney’s Investor’s Day confirmed a release date for Captain Marvel 2, a new feature film opening November 11, 2022. The film is directed by Nia DaCosta. Brie Larson stars as Carol Danvers, alongside Iman Vellani, who will make her debut in the Disney+ series, Ms. Marvel. Teyonah Parris will portray grown-up Monica Rambeau—a character introduced as a child in Captain Marvel and who returns to the MCU as an adult in the upcoming Disney+ series, WandaVision.

Brie Larson introduced Marvel fans to Carol Danvers on the big screen in 2019 in Marvel Studio’s first female-driven superhero film Captain Marvel. Carol Danvers, with the help of Nick Furry and the newly created SHIELD program, figures out the truth about her past while also helping to save planet Earth from an intergalactic conflict. The next time we see Carol Danvers is in the end credits of Avengers: Infinity War. After that, she makes a brief appearance in Avengers: Endgame while she helps defeat Thanos.

Fans of Captain Marvel are looking forward to what this sequel will bring. For those who cannot wait until 2022, there is a recent comic book run for fans to enjoy:
