Check out the ‘Bill and Ted Face The Music’ Panel for Comic Con @Home

mmPosted by

Kevin Smith moderated the Comic-Con at Home panel for Bill & Ted Face The Music today. The panel took place virtually this year due to the need for social distancing. And though we don’t necessarily agree with Smith when he said that watching online is better than waiting in line for Hall H (we love the Hall H Line experience), we are super excited to at least be able to celebrate the movies we love at home during a global pandemic. Comic-Con @Home panels feel like a bright spot of happiness in a world of gloom that 2020 has been so far.

Comic-Con Panels aren’t something we usually get to enjoy at home. Due to the current global pandemic, Comic-Con International has made the decision to go online! Comic-Con @Home 2020 is currently happening and will go on until Sunday, July 26th. It will feature over 350 separate panels that will be available on the Comic-Con YouTube channel.

Cast Keanu Reeves, Alex Winter, Samara Weaving, Brigette Lundy-Paine, William Sadler, director Dean Parisot (Galaxy Quest) alongside writers Ed Solomon and Chris Matheson  (Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure, Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey) gathered virtually to promote the third installment of the Bill and Ted Franchise. The panel was moderated by filmmaker Kevin Smith who spoke to the fact that he was able to do what he did with Jay & Silent Bob characters because of duos like Bill & Ted who came before him.

Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter reminisce about the audition process for the original Bill and Ted film and what it’s been like to return as Bill and Ted after so many years. In a very heartfelt and emotional moment, Reeves describes how there is nothing else like Bill & Ted in his career. He finds a great sense of joy from working alongside Winter and talks about the laughter and fun on set.

Bill & Ted Face The Music

Orion Pictures presents Bill & Ted Face the Music, On-Demand, and In Theaters on September 1, 2020.

The stakes are higher than ever for the time-traveling exploits of William “Bill” S. Preston Esq. and Theodore “Ted” Logan. Yet to fulfill their rock and roll destiny, the now middle-aged best friends set out on a new adventure when a visitor from the future warns them that only their song can save life as we know it. Along the way, they will be helped by their daughters, a new batch of historical figures, and a few music legends — to seek the song that will set their world right and bring harmony in the universe.

Bill & Ted Face the Music is directed by Dean Parisot, from a screenplay by returning franchise writers Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon and produced by Alex Winter, Ed Solomon, Scott Kroopf, Alex Lebovici, Steve Ponce and David Haring.
