Connecting with Cosplayers at WonderCon 2024

WonderCon took over the Anaheim Convention Center over Easter weekend. This particular event is a great place for cosplayers and geeks alike. Each year, the convention boasts some of the most creative and outstanding cosplays from cosplayers near and far. This year, we connected with a few cosplayers at WonderCon to discuss their journey as well as why they enjoy the hobby.

Cosplay Connection

Cosplaying is much more fun with friends. More often than not, we connect with cosplayers who talk about how they were encouraged by friends to start their journey. Being part of a community brings more joy into the life of a cosplayer.

Cosplayers at WonderCon

Cosplay, or “costume play,” is a way for people to express their love and passion for their favorite fandoms. WonderCon, while primarily a comic-centric convention, is home to a variety of fandoms, from Marvel to Star Wars, and anime to Doctor Who. Attending a convention in cosplay is in no way required. However, doing so opens doors to making new friends and becoming part of a supportive community of people who enjoy the same things. Here is a glimpse of some of the amazing cosplays we found at WonderCon.
