Jim Starlin is a comic book writer and artist who is best known for the for creating or co-creating the characters Thanos, Drax the Destroyer, and Gamora. His comic book career with Marvel started in the 1970s and he is also known for having revamped the Marvel Comics characters Captain Marvel and Adam Warlock. His Infinity Stone storylines are the inspiration for what is currently taking place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
