What is Critter Hug all about?

The goal of “Critter Hug” is to feature and give virtual hugs to artists, indie RPGs (role playing games), local game stores, and more. Their first episode featured three geeky delights. The first, a family RPG called Laser Kittens uses a deck of cards to tell stories about adorable and mischievous kittens. Next up, they shared Queens of Adventure, a DnD campaign podcast featuring Seattle drag performers and special guests from the drag and burlesque community.

They shouted out the Hollaback Nerds’ awesome Beau v Yasha rap battle. They also have a fantastic Mollymauk v Caleb. Check them out!

Last, Mica and Matt featured a great game shop in Phoenix, AZ called Funkatronix Rex – Games and More.

The banter between Mica and Matt is light and fun. This is exactly what we all need right now. It is the perfect warm hug Critical Role fans could use. We look forward to what they’ll share next. “Critter Hug” will air the first Monday of every month on their YouTube channel. This means that their first episode is up and ready for viewing! Also, there are some other hiatus Critical Role shows available on Twitch and YouTube. Narrative Telephone, AWNP: Unplugged, Yeehaw Off the Ranch, Mighty Vibes, and Explorer’s Guide to Wildemount are the ones available on YouTube. These should get you through the month while we wait for the next “Critter Hug” episode.
