Posted by D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event ticket details have been revealed! Commonly referred to as just “D23”, the event takes place every other year in Anaheim and serves as a showcase of new and upcoming projects from across the Disney family. This year, D23 takes place from August 9-11. From animated projects to Marvel to Star Wars and to the Disney Parks, there’s a lot to see and do at D23. so let’s break down the (somewhat confusing) tickets for the 2024 event.
Changes for D23 2024
One of the major changes for D23: The Ultimate Fan Events 2024 is that the larger, more widely-anticipated panels will be taking place at the Honda Center. The increased capacity of the indoor arena will allow more fans to see the most exciting announcements and events that weekend, with each night of the event having one marquee panel at the Honda Center.
Friday night will host the Disney Entertainment Showcase. This panel will touch on many different corners of Disney’s entertainment offerings including movies, TV, streaming services, and even live stage shows.
On Saturday, the Honda Center will have the Disney Experiences Showcase- highlighting new projects at the Disney Parks around the world. The showcase will be hosted by Disney Experiences Chairman Josh D’Amaro.
In a change from previous years’ programming, the Disney Legends Ceremony moves to Sunday evening at the Honda Center, rather than Friday morning at the Anaheim Convention Center. This ceremony highlights and honors members of the Disney family from across various areas of the company for their impact on Disney’s legacy. This year’s ceremony will be hosted by Ryan Seacrest. Honorees include Colleen Atwood, Angela Bassett, Martha Blanding, James L. Brooks, James Cameron, Jamie Lee Curtis, Miley Cyrus, Steve Ditko, Harrison Ford Mark Henn, Frank Oz, Kelly Ripa, Joe Rohde, and John Williams.
Due to the addition of the Honda Center as a venue for the event, D23 2024 tickets look a little different this year. Depending on what offerings you want to take advantage of, you will need different tickets. But first, when do tickets go on sale?
D23 2024 Tickets On Sale Dates
D23 tickets for 2024 will go on sale at various dates depending on a few factors, but start going on sale next week.
For D23 Gold Members- that is, fans who have paid for a year-long membership to the D23 Fan Club– you have first access. A limited number of both 1-day and 3-day ticket types (more on that later) will be available to them Tuesday, March 26th at 12pm PT/3pm ET.
D23 Gold and General (free!) Members who are Visa cardholders (and are paying with their Visa) will be able to purchase tickets Wednesday, March 27th at 12pm PT/3pm ET.
Finally, the general on sale (though you still must have at least the free membership to D23’s Fan Club) Thursday, March 28 at 12pm PT/3pm ET.
D23 Fan Pass: Anaheim Convention Center ONLY
The cheapest option for D23 2024 tickets will be the D23 Fan Pass. However, this will only allow access to events and offerings held at the Anaheim Convention Center. The large events at the Honda Center are not included in this ticket type.
MICKEY MOUSE
There is a lot still to see at just the Anaheim Convention Center. The show floor, as always, will feature exhibits and booths from Pixar, Disney+, Marvel Studios, Lucasfilm, and more. Shopping experiences are included too- with four different stores offering new and limited-edition merch.
Various stages will host other (yet-to-be-fully-announced) panels and events at the Anaheim Convention Center as well. This will include the Premiere Stage, home to D23’s Mousequerade costume contest. The Walt Disney Archives Stage will host panels on the company’s history and interviews with this year’s Disney Legends. Panels will also be held at the Hyperion and Backlot stages, as well as the Spotlight Stage located on the main show floor.
D23 Fan Pass tickets will be available as both single-day and three-day tickets. One-Day D23 Fan Passes are $89 per ticket, or $79 per ticket for Gold Members. The one-day tickets are the same price for each day of the event. Three-day tickets at this tier are $259, or $209 for Gold Members.
D23 Ultimate Fan Pass
If you want to take in the offerings at both the convention center and the Honda Center, you will need a D23 Ultimate Fan Pass. This ticket tier includes assigned seating for the evening events at the Honda Center. This is where it gets tricky, though, as prices vary based on where you want to sit for those big, highly-anticipated events.
D23 Ultimate Fan Pass tickets are also available in 1-day and 3-day options. Single day tickets start at $99 and go to $249. Three day tickets start at $297 and go to $747. There is no discount for D23 Gold Members. The prices are dependent on where you want to sit for the Honda Center presentations.
For simplicity’s sake, let’s just break down the pricing for the 3-day options for the D23 Ultimate Fan Pass. Upper rows of the 400 level are the cheapest at $297. Lower rows of the 400 level are $447. If you want to sit close to the stage at the 200 level, those tickets are $567. The 200 level a bit farther back from the stage are the most expensive seats at this tier at $747.
At this time, Disney has announced no other perks to the higher priced tickets. Right now, the only difference in price is down to your seat at the Honda Center. However, Disney often does HUGE productions for these big events. Actors, directors, and writers often appear on stage for new announcements. And there’s often big musical performances as well!
D23 Preferred Ultimate Fan Pass 3-Day Ticket
Gold Members of the D23 fan club can take advantage of an exclusive 3-day ticket that includes floor seating at the Honda Center. You’ll get the same seat each night for each presentation as well as access to everything at the Anaheim Convention Center.
As you can see in the chart above, these tickets start at $999 for floor seats in the 110-112 sections. Tickets including seats in sections 107-109 are $1,499 each. To grab a seat in section 104-106, you’ll pay $2,099. Finally, if you want the best seats in the house for the Honda Center presentations, each ticket will cost $2,599.
Once again, the only difference for these tickets are where you sit at the Honda Center and that you must be a Gold Member to purchase this D23 2024 ticket type. Disney has announced no other perks at this time.
