Soundstage Live! brings the Disney‘s Little Mermaid to life with a new beautiful interactive live stage show!

THE FIRST-EVER IMMERSIVE MUSICAL THEATER EXPERIENCE WAS TRULY DISNEY MAGIC IN THE WORKS!

This past week there was a magical performance of Disney’s “The Little Mermaid.”  It was produced by SOUND STAGE LIVE! and ran at the  El Segundo Performing Arts Center from March 15-18. SOUND STAGE LIVE! is the first-ever immersive musical theater experience that combines live actors, projected animations that surround the audience, and allowed for audiences to participate via their mobile devices. “The Little Mermaid” stared Chassey Bennett who has recently been seen in “Joseph & The Technicolor Dreamcoat” (3-D Theatricals) and “Footloose” (The Candlelight Pavilion). This show was directed by Karl Warden.  Karl Warden most recently directed and choreographed the “American Horror Story: CULT” promos. This unique event was hosted by the very lively and upbeat YouTube sensation Todrick Hall. Todrick gained is known for his original songs, choreographed flash mobs for Beyonce, and appearances as a judge on RuPaul’s “Drag Race”.

This type of theater experience encouraged the audience to pull out their cell phones to interact with the show. Using their phones allowed them to see and hear the fish under the sea, join the musical chorus that get Ariel and Eric to fall in love, and even help Ariel defeat Ursula with the power of the trident. They also offered a red carpet, themed snacks and games in the lobby before the show began. This show brings together cutting edge technology and the beauty of Disney story telling.
