Posted by Respawn unveiled their highly anticipated Star Wars game with details and a cinematic trailer. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will be available on November 15th for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
Fallen Order takes place after the events of Order 66 and will center around the character Cal Kestis. Cal is one of the last surviving members of the Jedi Order and is now a padawan on the run.
The game itself will be a single player game that is going to be story driven. Respawn states that gameplay will be the top priority and that there will not be any microtransactions or loot boxes, something that EA has been blasted for implementing in other titles.
“Many Star Wars fans, ourselves included, are really interested in the dark times, so we wanted to explore that mysterious, dangerous period,” said Stig Asmussen, Game Director, Respawn Entertainment. “The team at Lucasfilm have been amazing collaborators, helping us explore and further develop this part of the timeline where the Empire is at the height of its power and any remaining Jedi are in hiding. Within this narrative, we’ve crafted a game with intense, yet thoughtful and fun melee combat using the lightsaber and Force powers, allowing anyone to fulfill their Jedi fantasy.”
