Fangirling to a Better Version of Yourself
Being a fangirl looks different to each person. In this episode, Phryn talks about how fandom has shaped her life.
If I hadn’t come into [Doctor Who] for example, […] I wouldn’t be able to be nearly as kind as I am. If it wasn’t for a lot of different characters that I was seeing through books and movies and and stuff like that, it wouldn’t keep me going or it wouldn’t give me solace in times.
About our Guest
In addition to being a photographer, Phryn runs a Southern California based cosplay group called the Dead Authors Club. Some of her biggest fandoms include Doctor Who and Bungo Stray Dogs. You can follow her on social media at Instagram and Twitter.
